Artist’s Statement

Petals fall like memories—
soft, fleeting, yet endlessly present.
In silence, life continues to bloom.

If this piece reminds you of a memory,
then it has already found its place within you.

Please  stay for a moment.
It may change.

I invite the viewer not to focus on the tree itself,
but on the space where forms dissolve.

The petals are not only blossoms, but fragments of memory—

appearing, fading, and reappearing within silence.

In this work, I explored softness and atmosphere,

yet I also became aware of my own challenge:
to find a stronger presence within this fragility.

This piece stands between disappearance and existence—

a quiet moment where life continues to bloom.

花びらは記憶のように降り積もる。
儚くも、確かにそこにあり続ける。
静けさの中で、命は咲き続ける。
もしこの作品があなたの記憶を呼び起こしたなら、
それはすでに、あなたの中に根づいています。
少し立ち止まってみてください。
何かが変わるかもしれません。

この作品では、木そのものではなく、
形が溶けていく“空間”を見てほしいと思っています。
花びらは単なる桜ではなく、記憶の断片として現れ、消え、また浮かび上がるものです。
柔らかさや空気感を追求する中で、同時に自分の課題にも気づきました。
それは、この繊細さの中に、より強い存在感をどう宿すかということです。
消えていくものと、そこに在り続けるものの間で、
静かに命が咲いている瞬間を描いています。

Keiko Taguchi’s oil paintings quietly evoke the lingering traces of memory and time through her depictions of landscapes and flowers.
Rather than defining her subjects through clear outlines, she guides the viewer toward sensations that remain deep within the heart, using layered color and atmosphere to create a subtle emotional resonance.

The countless blossoms that fill the canvas are at once cherry flowers in full bloom and fragments of time long past.
Soft gradations of pink dissolve gently into one another, blurring the boundary between physical scenery and inner landscape. In this stillness, the presence of memory emerges with quiet clarity.

At the heart of Taguchi’s work lies a profound sense of spirituality beneath its delicate surface.
The flowers do not portray a single fleeting moment of bloom; instead, they appear as images repeatedly recalled from memory, resonating with the personal histories carried within each viewer.
Enveloped in luminous, gentle color, the painting conveys both a quiet awareness of transience and a deep contemplation of the memories that continue to endure long after the moment itself has passed.

田口恵子の油彩画は、風景や花の姿を描くことを通して、記憶や時間の余韻を静かに映し出している。その表現は対象の輪郭を明確に語るのではなく、色彩と空気の重なりによって心の内側に残る感覚へと鑑賞者を導いてゆく。
画面を覆う無数の花々は、咲き誇る桜であると同時に、過ぎ去った時間の断片のようでもある。淡く溶け合う桃色の階調は、現実の情景と心象風景との境界を曖昧にし、静寂の中に漂う記憶の気配を浮かび上がらせている。
また田口恵子の作品には、繊細さの奥に確かな精神性が息づいている。
