Kentaro Senoo is a Japanese photographer and a member of the Japan-Europe Palace Art Association.

After retirement, he turned his attention to photography and, through a process of continual experimentation, developed a distinctive approach all his own.
By placing himself within familiar everyday landscapes, he transforms ordinary scenes into imaginative and engaging visual narratives.

Japan-Europe Palace Art Association Commentary

Kentaro Senoo’s photographic works embody both a warm sensitivity toward everyday human life and a spirit of free exploration within the medium of photography itself.
Moving fluidly between documentary observation and creative expression, he has developed a distinctive visual language that reflects his own artistic journey.

In his photograph of a distant waterway, the natural expressions of people and the quiet atmosphere of travel are captured with sincerity and warmth.
Beyond cultural and geographic boundaries, the image conveys a shared sense of humanity, preserving both memory and emotion within a single frame.
By contrast, the work incorporating his own shadow reveals a more experimental dimension of his practice.
